Armadillo E-mail's
Guidelines For Opt-In E-Mail:
1. Clarity of Purpose. All Opt-in mailings will be clearly described
as such in the Subject line of the e-mail message.
2. Removal Requests. Explicit directions for removal from the mailing
list will be provided as part of the content of all opt-in mailings.
3. Rapid Removal. We will process removal requests as quickly as
possible, preferably within 24 hours. Notification of the removal will
be sent to the person requesting it by e-mail.
4. Source of Mail. The source address of opt-in mailings will be
of the sender. We will not forge From: lines. Opt-in mailings will disclose
the marketers identity and e-mail or mailing address and/or telephone
number. Neither the source address nor the content of the e-mail may contain
information which falsely states or implies sponsorship, approval, endorsement,
or affiliation with any entity other than the sender.
5. Legality. We will not perform mailings which might violate any
local, state or federal laws.
6. Solicitation of Funds. We will not perform mailings for any
charitable cause without a copy of the registration of the charity in
question, and a letter from the board of directors of said charity authorizing
the use of opt-in e-mail.
7. Truth in Advertising. We shall not knowingly send any mailings
which include false or misleading information about the products, services
or any item which is the subject of the mailing.
8. Co-operation with Service Providers. We shall co-operate with
service providers so that we both may benefit from these services. Examples
of this would be advance notification to a service provider of a mass-mailing,
and possibly scheduling these at a time and volume agreeable to all parties.
9. Indecent or Obscene Material. We will not accept for mailing
or mail opt-in e-mail which contains or promotes the sale of indecent
or obscene material.
10. Sharing Lists or Databases. We will take reasonable steps to
insure that sharing lists or databases that will be used for opt-in e-mailings
adhere to these Guidelines.
